Gill Arbuthnott had a long career as a Biology teacher before writing her first book for children in 2003. In addition to her works of fiction, Gill also writes non-fiction for children and passionately believes that science is fascinating and that books about science should be thrilling. Gill was born and brought up in Edinburgh, where she still lives and works as a teacher and writer.
