Erotic Romance

Goddess of the Dead

With hair the color of spun gold, gray eyes so pale they seem translucent, and a beauty so exquisite it was heavenly, Kiya was a high priestess in Egypt during Queen Cleopatra's rise to power. An adviser to the Queen, she has a secret that has resulted in deaths to ensure that it continues. During the passing years, her loneliness grew until it was almost too painful to endure. She desired more than anything to find true love once again, but it seems the behind-the-scenes politics will thwart her in her desires. Playing a role in the Queens attempt to usurp her husband to be the new pharaoh, Kiya's desires must take second place.

Marked

What does it mean to be marked? And for what purpose? Ms. Anderson does her best to answer these questions for us in her newest book, and she answers it well. Not only was this book good, but I read it in one sitting!

Emergency Room doctor Janine McKinley-Grayson is reaching the end of a long twelve hour shift, where she deals with death and lecherous EMTs when a naked man is rolled into her ER after being hit by a bus. He comes to with no memory of whom he is or why he's naked; all he knows is that he hates hospitals and he's very attracted to Dr. Grayson. Give him hypersensitive senses and beyond human strength, and she can't lie about her attraction to him either. Add in an ex-husband who won't leave her alone, and a male doctor who wants to give Janine a naked physical and hates taking no for an answer, and Marked is a mixture of explosive proportions.

French Quarter

Having not yet been to New Orleans--the Big Easy--I have always suffered from a fascination of the place. My big goal, while I'm still young enough to enjoy it, is to get there for Mardi Gras. When I saw Lacey Alexander's Hot in the City: French Quarter, I had to claim it for myself. I've heard stories, even living as far away from the city as I do, of how the French Quarter is the seat of all things carnal and pleasurable in New Orleans.

Riverboats & Rainbows

Angie LaCross was a successful businesswoman. Everything she was she had worked hard for. Why she took on extra projects for her Aunt Belle was beyond her! When Belle asked her to do this latest fundraiser, Angie knew the perfect location: The Silver Queen. The old riverboat would be ideal. Okay, so it was a bit creepy when she went to check it out. Nothing she couldn't handle. Then she fell down into the hold. Waking up hours later, she thought she just had one doozy of a bump. But when she walked upstairs and found herself surrounded by a ship full of men, Angie began to suspect there might be a problem. When she was forced to marry her rescuer, and then forced to jump into the river, Angie began to believe it was more than a problem. When she realized she had traveled back in time over 150 years-well, problem just didn't describe it! Caught between the husband she had loved and the Sioux warrior who captured her soul, Angie yearned for simple problems again.

Sleeping Oaks

Emma, the curator "by accident" (her boss's accident) of the renovated farm willed to the care of the museum where she worked, became involved in its total restoration and in organizing the ball destined to mark its official opening to the public. Sleeping Oaks was a 1800s building with marvelous architecture and an odd feeling of familiarity about it.

On the day of the ball, two surprises appeared one after the other: a strange mirror, huge and daunting and not part of the original inventory; and a marvelous ball gown for herself.

Dirty Pictures

Sleepless nights usually find me reaching for Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia and putting myself into a coma watching Cartoon Network. Last night I decided to try something different. I still didn't get much sleep, but I read an excellent book and didn't add to my hips!

Dirty Pictures from Elisa Adams is just the latest in a long line of erotic fiction. She has already made a niche for herself in paranormal erotic romance, and has finally dipped her toes into more mainstream erotica. She's made a splash!

Tip of the Iceberg

How many times in life does a person get a second chance? Most of us fall into patterns in our lives, and we just keep living the same patterns day after day because we love whom we love, we live how we live, we compromise where we must, and the patterns that make up our lives work to keep us in a never-ending cycle. Content or not, we lie in the beds we have made for ourselves. What happens when the life we lead is shattered by the death of a spouse? How do we go on?
