What makes for a really bad day? Maybe losing your job, your home, even your familiar, that happens to be a hawk. If that isn’t bad enough, how about your ancient car dying on the highway in the middle of nowhere when you were on your way to a better start? If this has ever happened to you, then you have a lot in common with Ana Stillwater, the heroine of Ciana Stone’s newest novel, Chase ’n’ Ana.
Erotic Romance
Jaguar Moon
“A good man is hard to find” is a phrase often quoted by females on the prowl. A really good man is even harder to find when you’re not totally human. Perhaps when the moon is full and the breeze is right, you turn into an animal—not the party kind. The chances of picking up a shape-shifter at the local sports bar are remote. So how does a half jaguar, half-leopard, 100% female meet an appropriate mate? Author Teri Adkins answers that question in her new book, Jaguar Moon.
Ben And Shadoe
I have read one e-book by Shiloh Walker before only it was an erotic contemporary romance. After having read the entire Hunters series I can tell you that she can write paranormal erotic romance even better! I recommend reading all of The Hunters series in order. As you read, you meet and learn a little about the characters in following stories, which will provide you with valuable information when the time comes for their own story to be told. So far, there are six in this series, but the author has plans for two more, although they are not contracted for yet. I eagerly await the future release of these and any others that will follow.
Christmas Cash
I admit to having read Maggie Casper before, but that was Maverick’s Black Cat which was in collaboration with Lena Austin. Having enjoyed that tale, I have been keeping a watch for more from those authors. Alas, since reading that story a few months ago, I have not managed to further delve into their works. Time, eh? Where in the world does it go?
Anyway, back to the subject at hand. I have finally found the time and the book. Christmas Cash by Ms Casper is a White Hot Holidays quickie that will most definitely warm your cold winter nights. It’s fairly short length in no way detracts from how well it is written, or the characters who are truly likeable, the type of people you could envision as your friends.
Katie's Art Of Seduction
I have not previously read any e-books by N.J. Walters. Nevertheless, once the plotlines of the Awakening Desires series caught my attention, they sounded very promising and I decided to give them a go. As I am finding to be the case with authors from Ellora’s Cave, I have enjoyed Katie’s Art of Seduction, and shall shortly be moving on to the next in this series, Erin’s Fancy.
Rafe And Sheila
I love this series by Shiloh Walker! I devoured the entire set in five days. They were impossible to put down (so to speak). It is imperative that when you read this set, you read all of the e-books from The Hunters series in order. In this way, you will gain the background information you ideally need for the following stories. There are currently six in the series, but the author has plans for at least two more, though they are not yet contracted. I am eagerly awaiting these releases.
Romeo
This is a marvelous contemporary erotic romance by Gail Faulkner, who is yet another new author for me. This novella had me hooked from the beginning and when things started heating up, boy did they reach the boil real quick! I love everything about this tale; the author has done a very good job with Romeo.
Lauren has been protected by her father and her three older brothers all of her life, even more so since the age of ten when she was involved in a tragic car accident in which her mother died in her arms. It was at this time that Lauren and her family found out she had a serious heart defect and needed a heart transplant. Her family became even more protective and coddling than they already were.
Taming Heather
I have not previously read any stories by Lorie O’Clare. I am trying to widen my reading interests and so am trying out more new authors to see if I like their writing styles and the genres their stories fall into. I have found that I thoroughly enjoy paranormal romance, but as yet my readings in this genre has been too focused on vampire romance. Now I am moving on to werewolf romance – which is where Ms O’Clare (and several other authors) comes in.
The Barbarian Prince
Morrigan Blake considers herself one thing, and one thing only: a star reporter. Rigan spends long months shooting across the cosmos to cover various stories and now she is on the way to investigate the Galaxy Brides Corporation, who is currently providing virgins to a planet short of women. Rigan poses undercover as a potential bride being offered to Qurilixian males at their annual Breeding Festival. On the way, the Breeding corporation offers and Rigan enjoys such free benefits such as permanent hair removal, body enhancing lifts and various spa amenities, but her real purpose is to uncover a scandal, and possibly to get an interview of one of the four princes.
Dreamer
When in 2338 a red haze covered the Earth, many people feared the end of the world. But the red haze coalesced into a strange fire-being who crossed the American continent from East to West, spreading pieces of himself all over the expanse, till its own disappearance on the West coast. After a while, the fire-being was forgotten. A new problem arose-many of the children born after the being's passage were showing signs of strange gifts. And the simple-minded, the superstitious and the Government exploited the fear of unknown in order to remorselessly hunt the new kind of humanity-the firewalkers-into extinction.
Every Last Fantasy
Do you ever have those moments when you crave something sweet? Something small, sugary, and satisfying that takes you away from the hectic pace of life for a few minutes of sheer bliss before facing the world again? I have. And similarly, I've occasionally craved a good short story as well. I don't always have time to dive into a lengthy novel but I want to read something to leave me fulfilled as a reader and a romantic. Lucky for me, Shiloh Walker's Every Last Fantasy came along at just the right time.
His Christmas Cara
Take one workaholic named Ebenezer Marley, who doesn't want to give his employees even half a day off for Christmas Eve, and a trio of spirits who give Ebenezer the visual journey of a lifetime in one night and what do you get?
Corny. I thought so, too, til I read Shiloh Walker's His Christmas Cara and discovered a wonderful, thoughtful story that doesn't need to be read at Christmas to be appreciated.
Silk Scarves and Seduction
Like Valery Taylor, the heroine of Shiloh Walker's Silk Scarves and Seduction, I had a serious crush on one of the guys I went to high school with. Also like Valery, I had a best friend who secretly helped me sneak things to my crush without him knowing. Luckily for him, however, the most risqué item I sent was a secret admirer love letter.
Not so for Dr. Marc Ford who is shocked--but extremely aroused--when he receives a package containing anonymous, erotic photographs, and a single silky black scarf, for his thirty-fifth birthday. Lamenting both his birthday and the fact that his office staff is completely dressed in black as a gag joke, Marc hopes against hope that the secret, sexy gift is from Valery, the girl nicknamed Blush due to her obvious pink cheeks whenever she's embarrassed. He's had a major crush on her since middle school, but there's no way he can admit his infatuation to the independent tomboy and risk rejection.
Telling Tales
Telling Tales, Shiloh Walker's newest book, is a romantic suspense/thriller. She is known for her Hunters series: Hunters: Declan and Tori; Hunters: Eli and Sarel; and the newest, Hunters: Ben and Shadoe, as well as her contemporaries: Her Best Friend's Lover and Her Wildest Dreams.
Darci Law is a small town schoolteacher who loves her job--the job that she is in danger of losing because of someone telling tales. All small towns have their gossips, but the stories going around about Darci and all the married men she is supposedly sleeping with may cost her job. The school board and her friend Della--the wife of one of the men she is supposed to be sleeping with--confront Darci. She knows that she has to do something this time. When Darci and Joe--one of the other married men--confront Carrie about the gossip, things are said. So when Carrie is found dead, the sheriff looks to Darci as his main suspect.
Moonlight Madness
Megan Hart is a talented author who writes in a variety of genres. Some of her previous stories are Playing the Game (contemporary erotica), Passion Model (sci-fi erotica), Trial by Fire (fantasy erotica), and Lonesome Bride (historical romance).
In Moonlight Madness, Rhea finds herself sidetracked by a one night only "Moonlight Madness" closeout sale. In the shop, she finds racks with furs of all different kinds and a clerk willing to do anything for a sale to the right customer. As she talks to him, she becomes uncomfortable and realizes he knows too much about her. Just as she goes to leave, the clerk decides that he has just the coat for her. But is it the coat for her?
