Isanne's Revelation

Faith. How much faith would it take to change the world? How much faith would it take to change a life? What would you do if you could have enough faith to change the future or change the past?

Isanne believes that God will answer her prayer. The question is: does she have enough faith to wait on His timing to forgive the past? Does the past hold sway over her future, or vice versa?

Isanne's Revelation is a quick read that answers the above questions in a most unexpected manner. The points in time that Isanne experiences took me by surprise at first but once understood Isanne's Revelation was a revelation of the power of faith for me.

Knit Together: Discover God's Pattern For Your Life

I am a big fan of Debbie Macomber's books – especially the series based in A Good Yarn knitting shop on Blossom Street. In fact, I enjoyed the books in that series so much that I have begun to knit because of them.

When I heard that Ms. Macomber was publishing a book called Knit Together, well, I felt I had to read it. I put my name on the library waiting list and got my copy a couple days ago. I nearly gave it back to the librarian when I found out it was an inspirational book and not a book on knitting.

Awake My Love

Judy Boettcher's Awake My Love is an inspirational romance that deals with everyday people struggling with strong held beliefs in an often hostile world. This world becomes more confusing for the central characters with mistaken beliefs and misimpressions.

Bump. Just what she needs – a fender bender. Alana looks into the rear view mirror at the car behind her. A very attractive man grins engagingly as he eases himself out of the oversized SUV. Another glance reveals an overly made-up woman glaring daggers at her. Too bad; another case of obviously already taken.

Scars of the Heart

This was a story about a couple who met at the bus stop on a rainy day. Ellen Gerber was a forty-year-old widower who merely offered a young man her umbrella to get out of the rain. That young man was twenty-six-year-old Adrian Templeton. He was involved in an accident and had a nasty scar. This led him to be very self-conscious and insecure with many things. He let his hair grow long to help cover it up. He was taken aback when Ellen showed him kindness and made no mention of his scar.

Trail to Bliss

Joshua Blaines Crandal had done a lot of things in his life, but being a clown kicked out of a traveling circus had to be the ultimate humiliation, or so he thought. Stranded in the middle of the desert, miles from civilization, the last thing he expected to do was stumble upon a trio of women preaching the Lord's gospel. Agreeing to fix a wagon wheel in return for food and clothing, he tried to dissuade them from traveling to Contention--the wildest mining town in Arizona territory--to spread The Word.

This Time

It is refreshing to see that a romance can actually be written without the crutch of sexual escapades and innuendo. Inspirational romance is thought provoking and just as involving for the reader as the other sub-genres under the umbrella of romance. I truly enjoy this type of reading and hope that Rachel Hauck continues to write such books. She is off to an exceptional start with her first offering, This Time.
