Fallen: book 3
Imagine you're an angel in Heaven. One day one of your fellow angels gets an idea in his head that humans are getting too much attention and decides to challenge the powers that be. You make a decision to follow the dissenters only to find yourself kicked out along with all the others. Imagine the feeling to beg for forgiveness only to be denied. To be sentenced to spend eternity living forever with the consequences of the wrong choice made.
After being cast out of Heaven, anything you have to go through should be easy, right?
That was what Dominic thought until he returned home to New Orleans and his nightclub 'Fallen Angel". He was finally ready to admit to his best friend his secret love for her, only to find she has a rich new man in her life. Dominic loves Teresa and has for the 5 years he has known her. He would be willing to accept her choice of someone else except something is not quite right were this guy is concerned. This creep wants more from Teresa than she could ever imagine and will use Vodou to get what he wants. It's going to take all of Dominic's strength to save his love from this curse and a bit of help from both vodou practitioners and a few 'angelic' friends.
This one is set in spicy, sultry New Orleans, where the resident's motto is let the good times roll and people do their best to take them up on the idea. The perfect backdrop for so sexy fallen angel Dominic LaFontaine. Once again Ms. Aaron takes up the theme of those angels who mistakenly chose to follow Lucifer in his rebellion only to be forever cast out from Heaven, sentenced to live out eternity on Earth among humans. Dominic is among those who have chosen to attempt redemption by hunting down a few of his fellow fallen, those who are unable to adapt to their sentence and prey upon humans while painfully losing their sanity.
I adore this series. Ms. Aaron manages to blend a mix of darkness and light in each tale that captures both your attention and your imagination. Each story is crafted with care and attention to detail, all the things that make a story believable and enjoyable. I look forward to reading the next tale in this wonderful series – as soon as I can get my greedy little hands on it!
