Go on a Sex Hunt Today!

Sex is everywhere. And when I say that, I’m not talking about the obvious. Everyone knows sex is selling jeans, sex is creating celebrities, sex is making drug companies rich, sex is on bookshelves, in your email inbox, in schools, in the mall. That’s the blatant kind of sex, in-your-face and impossible to ignore.

When I say "sex is everywhere,” I’m talking about a lot more subtle kind of erotic energy, the stuff that can go unnoticed and therefore is not exploited by people seeking your attention, your affection, or your money. This subtle, delicate, positive kind of sex is hiding all over your life and your world. If you seek it out, you’ll uncover some true buried treasure.

Here are just a few fun little sexual treasure hunts to try, to help you tap into the joy, fun, and creative energy that waits to be discovered!

Sex Hunt #1: Find the sexiest food in your house, and have a snack.

What do I mean by sexy food? Something sensuous, appealing to several of your senses, impacting your emotions. It won’t necessarily make you horny (unless shared with the right person), but it will remind you that food can be comforting or exciting or extremely pleasurable. Perhaps it’s the fresh, ripe strawberry with its intense red color, sweet aroma, and sensuous texture. Or maybe something pretty, exotic, and imaginative like sushi. And of course, there’s always chocolate… Now when you eat that snack, pay attention! Enjoy it all the way down.

Sex Hunt #2: Conduct a mental "Sexiest Man” Pageant.

Next time you’re in daydreaming mode, pick out five or six men you find sexy. Don’t just choose the hottest looking guys; mix it up and throw in a mature man or two, someone with tremendous talent, someone who appeals to you but no one else seems to notice. Compare and contrast them and pick the one you honestly feel has the greatest sex appeal to you…and after you make your pick, ask yourself why he won. The answer may teach you something new about what sexiness is!

Sex Hunt #3: Have a bedroom furniture adventure.

Next time you find yourself in the bedroom furniture department (or perusing a catalog at home), go on safari for the sexiest bed—that is, the one you’d most love to share for a romantic evening. Is it the one with the jungle pattern comforter, and the bed frame that suggests some exotic locale? Or maybe the elegant four-poster fit for a queen? Or the one with the profusion of pillows that just looks so comfortable? Remember, in the dark you can pretend your bed looks just like any of these.

Sex Hunt #4: Create something.

Sex isn’t simply pleasure, it’s pleasure that procreates. Bunnies make baby bunnies, plants propagate. That’s why I say, any pleasurable activity that results in creation is an expression of the erotic force. So spend an hour or two making something: Draw a picture of your cat, arrange some silk flowers for your table, start an herb garden on your window sill, invent a new cocktail, write a love letter to your mate, bake a new kind of cookie, buy a strip of great fabric from the remnants bin and sew yourself a sash or scarf. Then stand back and admire your creation and ponder the wonderful fact that something new and special exists just because of you.

Sex Hunt #5: Find Something Non-Erotic that is Sexy.

Wherever you happen to be, look around you. Find something in the room or locale that has absolutely nothing obvious about it related to sex, but has one or more of these qualities: It makes you feel happy to be alive; it excites your senses; it suggests growth or creativity; it makes you feel adventurous; it inspires you. Now remember this special aspect of this object. Repeat on a regular basis and you just may become more aware of the erotic force in the world around you, and the little ways it can sneak up on you and bring you joy!

You see what I mean? Sex is everywhere…and life is good!
