Review:

Rae Monet has a seriously cool history in the US Military Office of Special Investigation and later with the FBI on the Violent Crimes Major Offenders Squad. She also supports the Wolf Mountain Sanctuary in Lucerne California which you can link to from her website at http://www.raemonet.com/aboutrae.html. She has two contemporary racing novels out and one contemporary called Z's Story about an ex FBI agent. A Viking's Vow is one of her fantasy erotica novels from The Solarian Warrior Series. The two earlier books are The Lost Wolf Warrior and The Solarian Raven, and A Viking's Vow will be followed by book 4, Lone Wolf One.

In A Viking's Vow, Sable, a Wolf Warrior, is a Solarian Celt of the Realm, duty-bound to protect her people and the wolves from Eirik, a powerful Icelandic Norseman who captured her and the tribe that is hosting him in their wolf-hunt. He's the guest of another culture, and has his own troubles keeping her in lieu of the bounties he was supposed to earn to support his needy people.

I read A Viking's Vow independently as a single title. It's a quick read that focuses entirely on the passionate relationship between Sable and Eirik, and as it is essentially a romance with a fantastical setting, their respective cultures are described adequately without excessively dwelling on the details. Will these stubborn warriors from opposing cultures learn the art of compromise? This book might also be described as a paranormal because of the wolf-human bond(s), the background of which is not fully covered in this novel but no doubt is in other volumes.
