Review:

Someone was hunting Sheila McKay. Someone with shining silver eyes.

That someone was a wolf. Sheila wasn't really aware of the details the first time she came to. She only knew that some guy with gleaming yellow eyes, some guy alleging he was Alpha of the Loopin had kidnapped her from New York City and claimed her first blood--not that she knew what that was all about. But the big black haired guy with a scar who was responsible for stealing her ran out of the abandoned fall-out shelter he'd put her in. When she tried to get away, she ran into a couple of wolves ripping each other to shreds. And right before her eyes, the bigger wolf--the silver one-- turned into a man. It was enough to make any normal girl from North Carolina faint dead away.

The second time she came to, the fall-out shelter was history and she was in a cabin in the woods. The big silver wolf-who-turned-into-a-man was Airek. He explained that he was actually Alpha not the other guy, and Sheila was actually his destined Mate. He was silver when wolf, but when man, he was tall with silver eyes, white hair, a muscled physique, perfectly chiseled features and was really attractive to Sheila--for a crazy guy who thought he was a wolf. She could not believe him when he explained that she had been bitten by a rogue male Loopin, a wolf-shifter; the first bite had not been from her true mate. Airek was her true mate and they had to "complete the ritual and finalize the claim." She figured she must have been dreaming, and Airek agreed. So what did it matter if she consummated this thing since it was a dream anyway? Then she and Airek had such really intense sex that she didn't notice Airek's bite, and she went to sleep thinking it had all been a dream.

Then she saw him shift. And he read her mind. She wasn't sure what to believe. He introduced her to the pack--a dozen or so naked men and women who introduced themselves to her, and rubbed noses. Sheila was more human than wolf, and inadvertently she drew the negative attention of Kristoff. Airek warned him off, but when Kristoff mentioned the fight with his cousin, Airek knew that Kristoff was a rogue and challenged him. The challenge was to be fought after the hunt that was shortly to be held in Sheila's honor.

IN THE EYE OF THE MOON is a shape-shifter story (as distinguished from werewolf), and while it has significant story for shape-shifter fans and all of the requisite mythology, this book will appeal to a very niche market. IN THE EYE OF THE MOON is Erotica pushing the Paranormal envelope with women on women, erotic punishment, bondage, and multiple partners, so it is not for the faint-hearted.
