Review:

The ruinous wonder, Charlesgate, and a late 19th century curse is at the heart of Dina Keratsis's newest paranormal romance of an old hotel, ghosts, and a portentous meeting between two exciting characters caught in the mysterious web. In paranormal romance I look for three things--an intriguing story, believable characters, and an artful flow of circumstance and dialogue. I am pleased to report that Ms. Keratsis managed to fulfill all expectations and then some.

From the beginning the heroine, Zylla Berry, is on a personal quest that evolves as fateful doors begin to open. Beautiful and a bit bohemian, Zylla touches the gorgeous, motorcycle riding Jabe Caval with a purpose and a challenge that he is destined to meet. Is it love? That is left to be discovered. But there is no doubt that otherworldly influences shadow both their lives until what is dark must be made light.

Charlesgate is a fun read. Intricately woven with historical fact and colorful fiction, Dina Keratsis's story is written with an intelligent eye, respect for her readers, and offers up a tale one needs to read curled up in front of the fire with a throw over your toes. The erotic elements are not too hot to burn, but just sensuous enough to make you smile. Enjoy!
