Review:

Centuries ago, a powerful spell had gone dangerously awry. Before his death, the last sorcerer involved prophesied about a sorceress who would be born to right the wrong that had been done. She would be able to control what couldn't be controlled, command what could not be commanded, control all magic, and hold the fate of the world in her hand. This was the destiny of Lady Arlana Von Fordin. She had stopped resisting it a long time ago. But it had made her life so very lonely. To grow up knowing that you would never be like normal girls--get married, have babies. Arlana accepted her fate, but sometimes she wished she might be granted the chance to meet one man who could love her for herself alone, not for the power she could bring him.

The prophesy of the great sorceress demanded the creation of First Protector. Sworn from birth to seek out and guard--to the death if necessary--this sorceress. This was the destiny of Lord Commander Oric of Czanri of Myseen. Oric had resented this position of dubious honor for most of his life. But when he met Arlana, he could not hold on to that resentment. With astounding clarity, Oric realized that even if he wasn't First Protector, his life was irrevocably bonded with Arlana's. She was the life mate his heart recognized.

Though the journey back to his homeland with Arlana was fraught with dangers--both magical and earthly--Oric and Arlana found themselves falling in love. They both had come terrifyingly close to losing each other on numerous occasions. Discovering the true purpose behind the prophesy, Arlana was able to use her astonishing powers to correct the mistake made by those sorcerers centuries ago. But it meant releasing Oric from his duty to protect her. Only Oric had other plans. Arlana was his destiny. And he was hers.

Occasionally you come across a novel so amazing that you forget there might be any other reason besides pure, simple enjoyment for reading it. DESTINY'S SEDUCTION is just such a novel. Being able to feel the loneliness of Arlana's prophesied existence wash over me as I read her story, and knowing how only Oric could make her whole was nothing short of magical. Isabo Kelly has a wonderful talent for combining several different characters in such a way that not only does not confuse the storyline, it enhances it.

DESTINY'S SEDUCTION was enchantingly engrossing! Isabo Kelly must have been able to read minds when she wrote such a perfect story! I can't wait to read what she creates next!
