Review:

Raven haired, super sexy schoolteacher Lucy Blake had a bad habit of letting people take advantage of her. She kept telling herself to quit, but it happened despite her best intentions. First, Lucy had allowed herself to follow her parents' dictates and become a teacher, instead of following her dream of becoming a director. And now a painting that Lucy had donated to the school museum where she worked had turned up missing, and she had been asked to stay out of the investigation! Fat chance! It was her painting, and she'd help to find it. The principal of the school had hired a private investigator, but wouldn't tell Lucy anything about it. Would she ever stop letting people walk all over her?

Xavier Lamont had been a private investigator for quite some time. He owned his own agency, and was very successful. But his cases had become mundane lately. That's why he jumped at the offer to find the missing painting. Although, in hindsight, maybe pretending to be a priest and a schoolteacher wasn't the best idea he could have had. Priests weren't supposed to have ungodly thoughts. And the thoughts Xavier was having about Lucy were definitely deliciously sinful. He couldn't get her out of his mind. His feelings went beyond relief when Lucy discovered that he wasn't a priest. Finally, he could put his seduction in motion-guilt free!

While Xavier did all he could to get Lucy to acknowledge the attraction between them, Lucy did everything in her power to resist the powerful pull of Xavier's kiss. But working together on this case was going to be the downfall of them both. Constantly being thrown in each other's company was wreaking havoc on their hormones. And who would have thought Lucy would ever fall in love with "Father" Xavier?

FALLING FOR FATHER was delightful! A blend of bashfulness and boldness, Lucy was charming as the heroine. And Xavier was devastatingly depicted as a sinfully delectable-even though Lucy thought he was untouchable-specimen of creation! All throughout the story, it felt like I was right there with them, either hearing their thoughts or watching them interact. Such descriptive writing is a treat to find.

FALLING FOR FATHER has very effectively whetted my appetite for more from Catriona Reynolds! She creates believable characters with human attributes, and charming story lines and plot settings. I am looking forward to more from her!
