Review:

After a failed marriage and the loss of her unborn child, Kelsey O'Sullivan was determined that her money would buy her happiness. She set about interviewing for a sperm donor who would provide her with a child but would not be a part of her life. It was strictly a business venture. She had no need for a man and carried all the love a woman could hold to lavish upon her child. Growing up a lonely only child herself, Kelsey was determined that her child would have everything money could buy and a loving, ever-present mother. Kelsey knew the child would never miss having a father around.

Nick Leonetti put his family first, even if it meant walking off the job to get home when his younger brother got into a fight. His resumŽ attested to how many times that had happened. When Nick received a note at a restaurant inviting him to interview for a job, he was thrilled. His plans for the future included getting his family out of "Hell's Kitchen" and into Queens. Being unemployed temporarily stood in the way of his objective. A job falling in his lap was a godsend until he found out what the job would entail.

Father a child and walk away? How could he do that? Wasn't that just like his father? His father had walked out, leaving Nick to be the man of the house. He vowed that no child of his would ever be left behind. Now, this woman was suggesting that he sign a contract stating he would be the sperm donor, receive a generous payment for the job, and then just walk away, never to be a part of the child's life. Loyalty and morals warred against the need for money. The fact that Kelsey O'Sullivan was a knockout didn't help the decision making process.

NICK'S BABY is a tug-o-war of emotions and actions that keeps the reader wondering what will happen next. Nick is the kind of man any woman would love to know. He is tender, can be very romantic, and is loyal to the bone. Not to mention his virile build and handsome features. Kelsey is immediately taken by these factors although realizing the message meant for an acquaintance was delivered to the wrong man. It's a mistake that Kelsey and the readers of NICK'S BABY will never forget.
