Heather Brown is a twenty-five-year-old young lady who spent much of her life being self-conscious of all aspects of herself. She was totally unaware of the fact that she had transformed from an ugly duckling to an attractive swan. She was conflicted on how she could change her sweet, girl-next-door attitude to sexual, seductive vixen. She obtained advice and support from her best friend Brenda and a beautiful, outgoing entrepreneur named Christi. All the things she needed were easily accessible as she sold sexy lingerie in her store, Sweet Nothings. Heather was well on her way to recreating her self.
Heather's sexual awakening came about after a discussion with Brenda that although she had sexual relations before, she had never experienced a true man-made orgasm and she was determined to solve her little dilemma.

With her friend's encouragement, new found self-confidence and developing sexuality she was ready to turn up the heat in her life and test out her new sexy persona. Heather was determined to throw caution to the wind and have a one-time sexual encounter with a stranger to help discover a new side to herself. Even though she felt more confident and empowered, she had one man on her mind who had been there for her since they were kids--Brad, her best friend's brother!

When Brad heard of her sexual scheming, plotting and planning, he adamantly tried to discourage her from following through. She was like a kid sister to him, and he felt responsible for watching out for her well-being as her parents had both passed away.

Brad started out by visiting her at her shop and found her trying on some lingerie which would weaken even the strongest of men. His best intentions flew out the window as he tried to remain composed and protective of her. He fought off his urges, wants and desires to pursue her as his conquest. By restraining himself he had to sit back and watch Heather test her new found confidence. She deliberately flirted, teased and shared her intimate thoughts with him.

Finally Brad decided he was the only man for her. Not wishing to see her with other men, he decided to pursue her himself, only to have their history continually block his true intentions toward her making their relationship both complicated and confusing.

I liked this story. There was strong passion and chemistry between Brad and Heather. This story is light and fun to read. I liked how Heather became empowered to put her negative experiences in the past and strive for a new sense of self. Sort of an ugly duckling to beautiful swan scenario. This story addressed an issue that affects many women in today's society--false/negative self-esteem and self-image issues. I liked the conflict between responsibility, brotherly love and primal instincts. This was a good story with realistic characters along with some steamy sex scenes. There were many teasing and tempting scenes that make you wonder if Brad will ever give in and if Heather will ever get the man of her desires.
