Cody Lang was in desperate need of a man. Her father was on the verge of descending upon her house, and there was one thing missing: her husband. Cody, believing her father was ill, had fabricated a husband to make him happy. She never dreamed he would be well enough to travel across country to meet the man. With only a day left she didn't know what she was going to do.
Kipling Stanton, a.k.a. Kip Stanton, was the famous star of Farthest Space. The show came to an end after seven years and Kipling wanted one thing: to live a simple, quiet life away from all the press. After being named the sexiest bachelor, Kipling fled the women who were all dying to be his future wife.
When he escaped to Swift Creek to be closer to his younger sister, he thought he finally found a normal place to call home. It was only when he met his new neighbor that he realized she resembled nothing close to normal. At first sight Kipling found her very attractive with her red curly hair. But when she proposed within minutes of meeting him, he thought she was crazy.
After Cody explained her dilemma, Kipling wondered if he'd been wrong in passing judgment so quickly. But when he agreed to go along with her scheme, she went full force. She had him dressing in a tux, dying his hair and taking pretend wedding pictures.
When her father arrived in good health, Kipling believed he'd been made a fool--either that or the whole family was insane. Kipling was ready to bail out on Cody. He changed his mind when he found the father might have led her to believe he was sicker than he really was.
The two pulled off the scheme until Kip's identity was finally discovered. Everything fell down around them. But had the two really fallen in love?
Would those two actually marry?
ISN'T IT ROMANTIC? is a cute Contemporary Romance. Ellen Fisher combines humor, romance and a bit of sexuality in her story. The characters are believable and sparks fly from the first page. The plot, though used in many books, has a fresh twist to it. This book will have you laughing at the craziness of the idea. Definitely a book to pick up
