Review:

Dr. Gavin Kinncaid, OB/GYN, was one of the most successful doctors in his field. Competent, compassionate, totally in control. All of that was about to change, especially the "in control" part. Gavin had more interest in his work than in personal relationships. They only fell apart once his patients came between him and the upper class women in his life but that was the nature of his profession. Babies came when they were ready, regardless of social engagements. Resigned to the fact, he wasn't ready for Ms. Taylor Reese, Social Worker. His attraction to her was instant and overpowering after they were continually thrown into each other's path.

Taylor Reese wasn't looking for a relationship. Her childless marriage was over and her only concern was for her adopted son, Ryan, whom she had rescued from an abusive mother, now safely incarcerated. When Taylor's unfaithful husband decided a divorce was in order, Taylor and Ryan relocated from Texas to Washington DC to make a new start.

Gavin and Taylor started out doubting each other's competence concerning the death of a young girl. A relationship was the last thing either of them expected. Fate wanted them together, so it would seem. On a rainy night, Taylor not only lost her way, but also control of her car, sliding into a ditch. The next vehicle to come along was driven by the black haired, blue-eyed doctor. Taylor and Ryan found themselves in the company of Gavin's wealthy family for the night and on their way to more of an adventure than Gavin or Taylor ever thought possible.

From visions of the future to prison breaks to kidnapping to a mysterious, secretive relative, DEADLY TIES covers all of the bases. If you are looking for an emotional roller coaster, this is it. Jaycee Clark takes the reader through every conceivable emotion in this romantic thriller spiced with a touch of paranormal. A thoroughly enjoyable read that carries the reader from page to page with growing anticipation every step of the way.
