Book 1 of the O'Malley Wild series
When Maggie Casper isn't writing, she's a LT. Supervisor at her local fire department. When she is writing, it is sure to be erotic romance. Her titles are at Liquid Silver and Ellora's Cave because her subject matter pushes the envelope for standard category romance. Ebooks offer freedom from formulaic restraints.
Zane's Way, Maggie Casper's first Ellora's Cave release as well as first in the upcoming O'Malley series, is a light BDSM contemporary centering on a couple already living together. Zane O'Malley is a man with an unhappy marriage and a secret past. His live-in Rena is a subdued, quiet woman with secret fantasies and a lingering sense of unfulfillment--a drive to be forced to break out of her prison of self-control.
This is a sexual Jekyl and Hyde story based on The Pina Colada Song by Rupert Holmes where a dissatisfied married man and wife independently seek the want ads to find the answer to their unsatisfied needs. This is essentially the path that Zane and Maggie take, and it leads to definite changes in their relationship. One can almost envision this story finding its way into married vanilla bedrooms around the world being used to suggest to that, "well, honey, I want more than this."
This is a good solid story--and what's more, in addition to being a juicy little morsel of erotica, it supplies an obvious epiphany as it illustrates just how important communication is to sustaining a relationship.
