According to one reviewer, the reader is supposed to keep a cold drink next to her while reading Tori Carrington's NIGHT FEVER. That reviewer was not wrong. The book was so hot that the night had turned cold while I was reading this, but I didn't notice.
Dr. Layla Hollister already knew she didn't like her new boss. He had a reputation as a womanizer. When she met a stranger in a bar and bared her soul to the attractive man, she had no idea he was her boss. The next day she found out.
Dr. Sam Lovejoy was intrigued by the beautiful, sexy lady, especially after he found out who she was. He had no intentions of letting her off the hook easily. So he invited her for dinner despite her professing her dislike for him. The chemistry was undeniable and the pair burned up Sam's couch on the first night.
The second night was on her couch. Then Sam decided to take a step back because he decided he wanted more than a fling with Layla. She challenged him in ways no other woman had. But Layla was loathe to let anyone get close.
I was breathless reading this story, waiting to see just how this well-matched couple would find their way back to each other. Not for the faint of heart, I recommend NIGHT FEVER for anyone who likes a good, hot read.
