S L Carpenter's own web page (http://www.slcarpenter.net/erotica.shtml) says it all. "Now I can corrupt you all more than ever. More sick, demented sexual stories, rubber chicken fantasies, playing with toys and basically having a blast." It is obvious that he is having a blast writing Dark Lust, not to mention exercising his overactive libido in this anthology of short erotica with a twist.

This is quite a mixed bag set of stories:

The dark lord has sexual encounters with several different women.

A love-letter and a case of mistaken identity have unforeseen consequences.

A man has a final encounter--with a bus.

A caveman gets eaten, but not as he expects.

A soldier at a peep show gets a nasty shock.

There's a little more love talk on the radio than usual.

The full moon brings on quite an orgy.

A woman encounters a total orgasm machine.

There's an interesting range here from plain old erotica to dark fantasy, and most of these stories have a twist that will take you by surprise. It is easy to see why Ellora's cave is so busy encouraging Carpenter to keep producing stories for his readership. Some stories are kinkier than others; some are sexier; some are darker--but in any case, there's a variety that will keep you from dozing off between orgasms.
