Review:

Phyllis Campbell is an award winning, critically acclaimed author whose love for a good historical romance has created many a memorable tale. In her latest piece, My Heart Belongs To You, she has spun the classical romance story but has added a very generous dose of mystery and intrigue.

The story starts out with the heroine, Lady Jenna Hamilton, traveling to London to find her wayward husband, one Lord Cole Hamilton, who had left her two years before, only three days after they had wed. She meets up with the scoundrel at a mask ball but learns his true identity after he has seduced her. Trying to keep her heart encased in the hurt and betrayal of his leaving, and trying not to get lost in his sensual blue eyes that caress her like an actual touch, Lady Jenna presents to her wayward husband a decree of divorce, demanding to be released from their mock marriage.

But Lord Cole Hamilton is not so sure that he wants to be rid of the vivacious beauty now, wanting to keep the wife that has tempted him beyond reason. So he makes her an offer: she will live with him as a true wife for thirty days, after which time, if she still wishes to divorce him, he will sign the papers and send her on her way.

Jenna agrees to the little arrangement, knowing that she can steel her heart from his seductive good looks and his tempting kisses. But she realizes that the bargain is not what she has thought and soon finds herself cast into a world where she wants to be the wife her husband has suggested, in every sense of the word. But a misfortunate event pulls her husband from her arms and puts her at the mercy of another man, one that awakens a true desire in her. She must make a decision on who she loves, who sets her heart afire, finding that the decisions before her are not what they appear to be.

I would encourage this book to anyone who wants a good read with lots of tempting situations, mystery and, of course, romance. This book was a true gem and I find that the story line was just as endearing as the characters. The style of writing by the author is witty and entertaining and leaves you wanting more. The book was very hard to put down, with a charming heroine and a seductive hero that have literal sparks of electricity shooting from the pages. It is the type of story that will remain with you, in memory, for a long time.
