Review:

Delilah Devlin, author of such science-fiction comedies as The Pleasure Botand hot sexy paranormals in her My Immortal Knight series, has another winner with Lion in the Shadows. This book is a great read about accepting love and closing the past.

Lani Kimmel's job with the local fire department calls her to an unexplored and unknown cave where a teen has died inside. It's Lani's job to bring him out. This is not a pleasant job, but one she can handle, as she is an expert in cave rescues. But the opening of the cave awakens a creature that will push this no-nonsense woman's boundaries of belief. Can her newly emerging love for one man stand the test?

Rafe Chavez, the new sheriff of this small Texas town, wants to take his relationship with Lani to the next level. He's a man with a goal in his sights--Lani--and he's not letting anything get in his way That is, until he and Lani start having dreams about an Indian brave and a mountain lion. When their dreams cross into reality, Rafe realizes he may be possessed by the Indian's spirit--but the spirit isn't alone and it wants Lani. Rafe fears that harm may come to Lani. Just when he starts to overcome her resistance, Rafe must push her away to keep her safe from another creature that has also cast its gaze upon her.

In Lion in the Shadows, Delilah Devlin will once again leave you starving for more. She creates characters that are easy to fall in love with, such as Rafe, a man that keeps his promises no matter what the circumstances. She combines her excellent characters with the great plot, to make Lion in the Shadows a must read.
