My parents owned a florist’s shop as I was growing up, so imagine my surprise when I found out that Isabella Jordan's story was set in just such a shop on the Saturday before Mother's Day.
Anyone who has worked on a major holiday like that in a florist’s shop knows the only thing you want to do at the end of the day is get away from people and get off your feet. Well, Carmen, the florist in Bewitching Breckin may be getting off her feet, but she definitely isn't alone.
We meet Carmen Fabray as she is finally closing up shop after one of the busiest days of the year for a florist, Mother's Day. A few orders were missed, a driver was in a minor accident and she had to fire an employee. After all of that drama, all she was hoping for was a long, hot bath. Unfortunately, the bath would have to wait. Someone was a pounding at the front door as she was just getting ready to leave. Wishing she could run out the back and not face this possibly irate person, she gave into the need to right any wrong her shop had committed.
Breckin Nash stood pounding on the door with his keys, as pissed off as he could possibly be. Someone, and he can guess who, sent his girlfriend a dozen roses with a card signed by him saying he wanted to break it off with her. He wanted to know how this sort of thing be sent out without anyone catching on and who sent it. Someone was going to pay for their mistake.
I'm sorry, but if you want to know what happens when Carmen opens the door to Breckin, you'll have to read Bewitching Breckin because I'm not giving any part of this seductive story away.
Ms. Jordan's erotic novella was a delicious treat that was a great way to wind down after a hard day at work. Actually, it'd be a great read even if I hadn't had a hard day at work. Fast paced and well written, it provides steamy sex and a delightful little romance helped out by an inherited old coin with a romantic legend attached to it.
I do want to mention that this is an inter-racial erotic romance since I know some readers would want to know. To me, it’s a hot seduction wrapped in a sweet romance that you should check out when you have a spare hour or two.
In fact, I enjoyed Bewitching Breckin so much that I took a peek at Ms. Jordan's website and saw she has a lot of stories to offer, such as Eyes of the Leopard: Discovery. I also found out she enjoys "playing with Barbies and creative swearing".
My kind of woman.
