Silhouette Intimate Moments
She wasn't supposed to be there. She wasn't supposed to see him. He wasn't anticipating spending his final week of a 200-year-old curse with a beautiful young woman.
Small town Kansas travel writer Clara Fergussen had traveled all the way to South Carolina in search of a pirate story and adventure. When Mrs. Yates, caretaker of Rose Cottage, had insisted that Clara stay with her, she accepted and unpacked her things in the gardener's bungalow.
Pirate Tyree St. James had been furious when he'd found a woman's belongings in his bedroom, but when he got one look at the beautiful writer, he found a yearning inside that he simply could not resist! But, when the pirate stepped out of her dreams and into reality she discovered one problem. The disreputable hunk was a 200-year-old ghost, and a cursed ghost at that!
When Clara refused to accept that Tyree was indeed a ghost, he followed her around day in and day out determined to prove her wrong and even enlisted her help on a string of house fires that had been set to cover up several robberies. Then things got complicated when Tyree discovered a link between his and Clara's own past and Clara learned that Tyree was indeed a ghost! Yet somehow and somewhere Clara and Tyree fell in love.
While this is a great story, I did find there wasn't much to the plot in this book, proof in lack of my review. The two characters argue back and forth, put together the pieces to a string of robberies, make love and that's it! However the characters were sensational and the passion between the two is simply hot, so I must say despite the lacking plot, Nina Bruhns' GHOST OF A CHANCE is well worth the read!
