Ellora’s Cavemen
What do most women want, although in public, they often deny it? They want real men. You guessed it, the alpha male, men who epitomize the red-blooded male with all his cocky arrogance, ripped muscles and sexual expertise. Women want to be pursued, seduced and satisfied. Seasons of Seduction II with six sexy tales involving he-men fits the bill perfectly.
In Gillian’s Island, Gillian Alford finds herself ship wrecked with the hunky Brandt Powers. Even though she and Brandt dated for over a year, they both failed to make the commitment and connection that would take their relationship up to the next level. She knew why she held back making a definite commitment. She’s afraid of rocking the boat or even wrecking their friendship, but what about Brandt? Maybe this unexpected island sojourn will make the difference in their relationship, especially when Brandt reveals an adventurous side.
In Devon’s Vix, a group of vampire-hating fanatics targets Jesse Coulter. They think she is a vampire and they’re not totally wrong. How ironic to go from vampire hunter to partial-vampire courtesy of a rogue vampire. Just about as ironic as finding out the super hot Devon Knight she was dating is a vampire too. Devon is back and prepared to defend her against the fanatics. His plan involves indulging in decadent luxuries and acting like lovers, to draw the fanatics out. The real question is when does the acting stop?
In Wendy’s Summer Job, Wendy Cole is down on her luck. Her evil stepmother cut off her tuition and dreams of being a famous actress. With her credit cards maxed out and her car on the skids, Wendy needs work. She needs a job desperately, but jobs seem to be far and few for a girl whose main attributes are a fine rack and delivering lines in a breathy fashion until she sees the sign: extraordinary receptionist wanted. Wendy barrels into the storefront only to be stopped by the sight of a prime American male named Kyle. She is willing to do anything to work next to such a delicious piece of ass. She’ll have the chance to work for Kyle and his scrumptious brother Drake and equally yummy baby brother, Lance. She does her best work on her knees. Wendy scores the summer job of a lifetime.
In Chasing the Dragon, Captain Jade Ahnat is on a mission to save her sister and her planet from the dark sickness. Despite the United Planetary Federation prohibition of anything that has germs, the illness spreads. The only hope is an exotic plant called Dragon Tears grown by Cad Raj, who despises UPF and everything it stands for—just a little something to make Jade’s job a little more challenging. She is up to it, considering the sterile existence she normally lives. She knows the Cad Raj will be difficult. What she doesn’t expect from the muscular male is a demand for total submission before he will consider her request. What surprises her even more is that she is eager to submit to his outrageous demands.
In a Viking’s Pledge, Mista, a slave, bought by her Viking overlord, Raynor, battles with her attraction to her master and her desire to return to her homeland. Raynor treats her with kindness and respect earning the disrespect of his fellow warriors. Mista feels like he regards her as a little sister until he comes back from his last trip, the look in his eye is far from brotherly. Raynor promises to return her to Ireland if she will spend one night in his bed. She agrees, but wonders if she can ever return home without Raynor.
In Taking it All, Lisa Petersen lives a boring, bland vanilla life when she really wants to spice things up. Concentrating on her boring life she almost runs over the Marlboro Man, otherwise named Brad. Lisa, while offering numerous apologies for the near miss, inadvertently admits she has a boring life. Brad invites her to spice it up by meeting him at Hannibal’s, a local bar. It’s something she hasn’t done before, meeting a perfect stranger at a bar. Brad is full of plans for Lisa because he will totally dominate her before the night is over. Take that, dull vanilla life.
Seasons of Seduction II has about every alpha male you can think of from construction workers to Vikings, and of course, the ever popular vampire. The stories do more than sizzle; they leave your fingers scorched. Even the women who start the story thinking they don’t want to be dominated in the beginning are grateful they submitted by the end.
Seasons of Seduction II is like an oversized box of Godiva chocolate that you swore you didn’t need, but secretly lusted after. Each story is the better than the last. By the end, you’ll be satiated, but contemplating Seasons of Seduction III. It's another great read by a sextuplet of talented writers. Chalk up another wonderful book by Ellora’s Cave. Even the cover is delicious.
