Review:

After spending all your adult life hindered in the attainment of your sexual desires, what would you do if just the right person suddenly came along... the person whose desires compliment your very own; someone ready and willing to be your partner in finding their own fulfillments? With Bound By Fate, author Lee Rush delves the possibilities with a hero and heroine determined to experience the delights of their long deprived BDSM affinities.

Christiane and James had met online, and shared an interest in BDSM. They shared similar martial situations, too, as James had been married to a woman who suffered from diabetes and had died from cancer, while Christiane watched her own husband’s mind deteriorate from Alzheimer’s. For years they both knew loneliness and the sense of missing out on the more pleasurable things in life. Now they feel free to pursue the sensual world of BDSM, and are anxious to meet and together realize the intimate realization of their fantasies.

In erotic content Bound By Fate has some sizzling moments. Author Lee Rush has used some creative sensuous games to make an interesting BDSM read. While the dialog at times borders slightly on corny, Rush has a knack for making the reader connect with the individual emotions of James and Christiane. I understood their feelings, and the quandaries in their lives, at least as how they perceived these quandaries.

In the end, however, I was unable to really like this story because of these perceptions. While I understood how James and Christiane saw their respective situations, I felt little grief from these characters in regard to their spouses. James, in particular, struck me as resentful about his wife. I know many people flirt online in real life everyday, but I simply couldn’t buy that James’ issues with his wife were motive enough for him to come across so blasé. Christiane, while possessing a little more substance, still seemed impatient in putting the life shared with her husband behind her as quickly as possible. These two characters, unfortunately, just proved too emotionally immature (at least in this reviewer’s eyes) to believe that the love declared between them could last long.

My final verdict:

No doubt about it, Lee Rush has delivered a lusty BDSM courtship with Bound By Fate.Even if not won over by the characters, some readers may be turned on by the high-spirited flirtation and sensuous imagery.
