Joey W. Hill has presented a feast in her Nature of Desire series. I've only had the pleasure of reading Natural Law, but it was more than enough to have me wanting more. And, as I expected, she didn't disappoint me with Mistress of Redemption.

Jonathan Powell--white-bred white-collar Jonathan who almost got Mac Nighthorse killed--is out of prison. Five hard years of 'three hots and a cot', Jonathan can breathe free air again.

All he has to do now is figure out how to get out of hell and back into civilization.

Jonathan was a twisted submissive at The Zone. He would pick the hardcore Doms and twist them until he broke them down lower than he was. They were always women; he never tried a Dominant man. His anger towards the female gender wasn't something he ever talked about, but he let that anger out on any woman who seemed to be able to take care of herself. Well… every woman but one.

Enter Mistress Dona, one of the Doms from The Zone that he never got to touch. Every time he saw her, she was studying him, but she was too much Dom for him. At least, that was her reputation: supreme bitch that could bring any and all men to their knees and make them beg. Jonathan doesn't know what to expect when she rolls up in a convertible to pick him up upon his release. But after five years, he's not about to pass up the chance to have a woman, no matter who she is.

Mistress Dona isn't what she appears. Oh, she's a Dom all right, but what lies beneath her skin is so much more than we can ever comprehend. She is, literally, the Mistress of Redemption. She'll help Jonathan make the right choice this time, because if he doesn't, Hell is waiting for his tainted soul.

Dona might have bitten off more than she can chew, though. In helping Jonathan get his soul back and a ticket out of Hell, he just might cause her to lose her own soul.

Ms. Hill creates another delicious read in Mistress of Redemption. However, I do have to warn you, there is a very detailed trip into Hell, along with some scenes of BDSM and punishment for past sins that are not for those with a faint heart. But, if your Pacemaker is working well and you've got someone to call 911 if you need it, crack open this book and see where it takes you.
