Review:

Can love be a conduit that threads one world to another? Is there a fine line between animal and man? In this gentle tale, it is so. Danger is Sweet, as a title, is less telling then the story deserves. Though I would not presume to second-guess the author, I saw less "danger" in the tale and more "emotional evolution". This story is pure romance from a shape-shifter perspective, and requires little more from the reader then a mind in need of escape. Predictable and charming, Cornelia Amiri's historically based weave was interesting and warm.

Malcolm, the loyal Alpha who dons a pelt, and Bethoc, the beauty who carries a bow and arrow with a royal target in mind-vengeance claimed--are thrown together, Scot to Pict, a marriage performed for a King's protection and a maiden's life. I enjoyed the intelligence projected by the characters, though they all seemed to either have really short memories or a great deal of understanding; regardless, a fine tale was told.

I never once questioned the period or the place. This author does like to do her homework which lends credibility to this paranormal tale. I am fully convinced that Ms. Amiri will create her own unique following.
