He said, she said. This is about the second book I've read this month that is set up in a he said/she said format, written by two different authors each playing a role. I am assuming by gender that the SHE author is Michele and the HE author is Chris, but in this case, who knows. In 1-800-SEX4YOU, SHE is Arissa Montague, recently dumped employee of a public relations firm. HE is Derek Mortenson, the workaholic boss of said aforementioned public relations firm who happened to witness Arissa's dumping.

Fortunately for the progress of this romance, secretly he likes her, and secretly she likes him right back. Not that either of them have breathed a word about their animal attraction. Unfortunately he's the boss and doesn't believe in interoffice romance, so what's ahead for this relationship is a whole lot of nothing. Except that this story is set in Las Vegas where a whole lot of things that aren't legal anywhere else are not only legal but also available with cash, credit, and, quite possibly, on a layaway plan.

Only in Las Vegas could there be something like 1-800-SEX4YOU, a service that matches up strangers so they can have sex. So guess who signs up to use this one-night-stand-wear-a-hood-to-protect-your-anonymity service? Guess who's been a client there for three years? Guess what happens?

Probably the best thing about this quickie is the fresh approach of the his chapter/her chapter format. You do get a perspective of each point of view, interspersed with some real-time sit-com style arguing; but also you get a sense of a flirtatious and abrasive male/female dynamic that is comical in its presentation. For a little perk, 1-800-SEX4YOUincludes "the briefest bondage experience" Derek ever had and the shortest bondage scene I've ever read. Rest assured that everything comes out okay in the end and you'll probably have a few laughs as you indulge in this speedy little treat.
