Rob

Rob Shelsky was born in Texas, raised in Massachusetts, Australia, and California. He attended Southwestern College, the University of Victoria, B.C., Canada, and San Diego State University. His background is in science and technical writing. Rob is a writer of science fiction, fantasy, and paranormal romances. He writes numerous fact articles as well, and for such magazines as Internet Review of Science Fiction, Neometropolis, and many others. Rob is currently a resident bimonthly columnist for Alien Skin Magazine where his column is on how to write science fiction. Soap Bubbles was Rob's first published sci-fi story. Implosion came out last year with Alien Skin Magazine. These Cold Depths of Space was with FablesMagazine in their 2004 autumn edition. Gateway SF published Let It Be Forever. Arabella Romances accepted his time-travel romance, A Confederate Yankee in Annabelle’s Court. He has placed four consecutive times in the L. Ron Hubbard's Writers of the Future contest for 2003 and 2004. This placed him in the top 15 percent of writers worldwide. More recently, Rob has had stories accepted by Aberrant Dreams Magazine (Without Omens), Continuum Science Fiction Magazine (Dance of the Butterflies), Baen Universe Magazine (Dreamtime), and Fifth Dimension Magazine (Fifth Di..) (This Narrow Isthmus). Lost Echoes, a time-travel romance novel set in Elizabethan England, has been accepted for publication as an e-book with Awestruck E-Books for early 2007. When not writing or doing book signings and promotions, Rob likes to sit on the veranda, sip some wine, and watch the Blue Mountains turn purple at sunset.
