Review:

I have been meaning to get my hands on a Murray tale for quite some time now, but time has flown by so quickly it has left me wondering how I could have allowed so much time to elapse without following through on my intentions. No matter, for I have finally nabbed a Murray tale with both hands and am extremely happy that I did. Knockout is a sensual, charming tale about a woman going after the man she wants, to heck with any obstacles. This story has left me feeling I should not allow much time to elapse before getting my hands on more of Murray's works.

Nina Bowes has been half in love with musician Tony Capriatti for five years. Of course, he doesn't know she exists – a combination of the bevy of beauties always throwing themselves at him and her own well-rounded figure. But now, having toned up some and turned into a more confident woman herself, she is determined to at least make a play for him. She knows where he'll be playing after a rather long break, and she has the loan of a stunning property in the immediate vicinity. Though she doesn't have any solid plans for seducing him, those she does have don't exactly play out according to how she had envisioned them. Nina believed that walking around the town, hoping to run into him with things naturally progressing from there would be the best she could hope for. She didn't expect to literally run into him, knocking herself to the ground and unconscious in the bargain. The attraction between them flares up immediately, with Nina's borrowed bedroom soon feeling the heat. But Nina is keeping secrets – and quite possibly, Tony, too. And a week is surely not enough time for them to both fall 100% in love with each other – or is it?

Fancy a short sizzling summer tale to heat up your afternoon? You need look no further! Knockout packs all the heat you could possibly be looking for. If you like a curvy woman who is a real go-getter, you should love Knockout. Like a carnal contemporary romance? Then again, you really should consider snapping up Knockout. You'll love the author's style, and the sex between the characters – described in sizzling detail – is sure to get your heart beating. The focus is completely on Nina and Tony, and told entirely from Nina's point of view, with few other characters coming into play, though I would liked to have met Tony's family, and Nina's friend Julie seems ripe for a story of her own. My thanks go to Ms. Murray for taking the time to get this one written and available. It is a great read, and makes perfect summer reading.
