If you were to spot me on the street, my clothing would just scream *Mom*. They are not up to date, might not even be up to the decade for all I know. My hair is in a consent state of bun, braided, or some other put-up and never gelled which means, fly away hair! Make up? Only if we are going out to a restaurant with table cloths! I drive your standard gas saving Saturn, not an SUV, I have only a Bachelor's degree, not a Ph.D.. I constantly make goo goo faces at other people's babies because mine are almost grown and would frown on such things from me. Teens, they need tender loving care you know. So in all cases, there is nothing to make me stand out. Until you talk to me.

Ah, that when the Aliens come into play. Or should I say, "Only in California" comes into play. Just so you are all clear here, when we say Aliens. I always think of creatures not of this world. To call another human being an Alien seems well, just wrong. Immigrant is more accurate I mean I have never met a Bug Eye Human before! But Aliens, ah, yes I have been meeting them all my life. The Bug eye variety has thankfully been a rare breed. but that is also because my local book guardians, also known as the librarian managed to steer me to quality meetings. And here is where things get strange. Believe it or not, there are perfectly sane people who believe that aliens (the not of this world types) really do exist around here. We just can't see them, because we don't know how to look for them. Or they are out of phase with us, or their technology makes it easy for them to slip pass us. What more, we speak of these things to one another, and openly too! So where do you think you would find such outrageous people?

Look no farther than your local Science Fiction Convention, Fantasy Convention, On-Line chats of the same line of thought and many other ways. You will also find them among, writers and artist of such visions. So next time you walk down the street and see a housewife, don't be too sure that all she is. She might also be a commander of a local Starship alliance group....
