While I love werewolves and vampires, sometimes a girl needs to taste something different to make her happy. I found my something different in Wishes; a hot read from sister authors Stella and Audra Price.

Nicodemus Marsh isn't too thrilled with his new job: he has to break a human woman named Janey Duvall for the Demon Prince. Being a genie, Nicodemus is doomed to eternal life, but it gets lonely after awhile. You can only sleep with so many women before you start to get bored with it. As a genie, he is prepared to grant three wishes, but after those three wishes are up… the wisher must spend 100 years with Nicodemus as his slave. Don't you love the fine print on contracts? But Nicodemus has never met a woman like Janey, and his cockiness (excuse the pun) is going to be his downfall.

Janey Duvall has just taken charge of an organization that Tyler Duvall, the meanest, baddest, scariest man around, had built from scratch. Janey is now in charge of an undisclosed number of assassins. And while she enjoys her work, it hasn’t been conducive to dating. In fact, men run away at the mere mention of her name. Oh well, it won't be long now anyway. Janey has terminal cancer; she's kept it at bay with some powerful witch spells, but it won't be long now.

When Nicodemus shows up and offers her three wishes, she thinks he's a big joke. One hot erotic encounter later, she learns just how wrong she was, and that if she makes the wrong choices, she'll be his slave for a century. A dying woman wouldn't mind living an extra one hundred years, but Nicodemus wants something a bit more permanent from Janey… will she realize it in time?

Stella and Audra are making a name for themselves in erotic fiction, taking old clichés and breathing new life into them. Wishes is the first in the Wish Races trilogy, and I'm very much looking forward to the next!
