Some reviews are especially hard to write. It's difficult to write an adequate review of a hot flash (short fiction) story like this, without giving away the whole ball of wax.
Crooked Triangle is a (third person limited) erotica short story. Very short. The whole book, including cover, author bio and title page, is 19 pages. There's a lot that happens in those 19 pages. We get to know three characters very well and yet they manage to surprise.
First, let me say that Lexxie Cooper knows her way around erotica. She writes as hot a sex scene as I've ever seen. There's not a lot of text wasted on character development. Not that these characters have much character. We know who they are, perhaps better than they themselves do. More importantly, their behavior and thoughts mesh perfectly with the plot.
First, there's Brad Tellerman and his mucky orange coverall Then there's Nicky, corporate hot shot by day, sexual submissive by night. And Nicky's husband, who gets to dominate her once in a while--when she lets him.
What's especially good about this story is a fair play dynamic. What happens? I won't tell. I can say is this story is very hot, fast and funny and everyone gets their just desserts. I have a feeling that Lexxie can write just about anything that she wants to, and look forward to seeing what she comes up with next.
