Jory Strong has taken the world of crime to a new level, with her Crime Tells series. Lyric's Cop is the first of this series with another soon to be released. The story had a refreshing twist with mystery and mayhem to keep you turning the pages.

Lyric, a pet detective, has taken on a case that's ensured to change her life forever. Now she is trying to find dogs that are being kidnapped. Only she does not get to work this one by herself; she has help. Help she does not want.

Kieran Burke is a vice cop and the grandson of the person's case Lyric is working on. As soon as he meets Lyric, he knows he is in for trouble. Being a dominate man, he does not know what to think of the feisty pet detective. She is always walking the line of the law and he loves that she does.

Lyric is a woman who has always seen herself as a live-life-to-the-fullest kind of person. One who was not afraid of getting hurt either physically or emotionally. She never realized that when it came to love, she had always held back an important piece of herself. That is until she meets Kieran, and he changes everything.

Kieran has never let a woman get to him the way Lyric does; every time he sees her he has trouble walking or anything else for that matter. However, as the case starts to unfold, he finds that he cannot keep his hands off her anymore. Now all he has to do is try to protect her from getting herself in more trouble then he can handle while they solve this case.

Having read other books by Jory Strong I was not disappointed . This is a fast read with sex scenes that will have you reaching for your significant other, or toys or both for some relief. I thought my screen would melt. If a good fast read is what you are looking for, this is the book for you.
