Vivian Zabel retired after twenty-seven years of teaching English, composition, newspaper, and literary magazine. During her years of teaching, she attended writing workshops and clinics, not only to be a better teacher but also to hone her own skills. Now she owns 4RV Publishing.

Following her military father around the world exposed her to cultures and ideas which added to her life's experiences, used in her own writing over the years. Being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother adds to the material woven into her writing.

Vivian has been editing writing for over thirty years and reviewing for almost that long.
